Sunpaw smelled it too now, overwhelming her. She heard Rainpaw scream, and now she was sprinting s fast as possible towards her, claws out and fur fluffed, ready to fight the foxes single handedly while Whiteshine was calling for her to wait but Sunpaw didn't hear her, all she could hear were the screams of Rainpaw.

"She can't go on her own!" Lilyflight exclaimed in slight panic. "We need to go after her, and help Rainpaw!" Then in a flash, she was gone.

Whiteshine didn't see what choice they had, so she pelted after them, fluffing up her fur and sliding out her claws, ready to defend her Clanmates.

Sunpaw was there now, and saw two foxes running off. She also saw Rainpaw, split open and dead, she knew there was no hope for her now, but she could make the foxes think twice before even looking at another cat again. She pelted after them, greif and anger powering her. She reached them and attacked, jumping on ones back and biting it's life-pumping artery, she was able to kill one by surprise. The other lunged at her and she darted back and forth, avoiding it's attacks and waiting for Lilyflight and Whiteshine to get there.

Rainpaw! she thought, filled with grief. She was so young! Then her attention was turned. Oh, Sunpaw. I know you're angry... but you can't take on two foxes on your own! "What is she thinking?" she muttered, racing to Sunpaw's side. Together, they were able to drive the fox back, but not before Lilyflight received a nasty scratch along her flank.

When it was distracted by Lilyflight and Whiteshine attacking it's head, she jumped onto it's back and delivered the same killing bite that she had with the other one. She jumped off of it, and saw Lilyflight's scratch. She started to tear-up "I'm so sorry Lilyflight, R-Rainpaw was in trouble a-and-" She raced to her side, helping support her and Whiteshine was on her other side, and together they helped get her back to camp.

"I-It's fine," she replied as she stumbled. But the truth was it hurt like fire, and it ran from her shoulder down to her mid flank.
