*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

"Why does StarClan do things like this?" she asked softly. "I know they know what's best, but to take a young she-cat's life like that... At least make it painless. She shouldn't have had to suffer like that."
"It's always depressing when a fine young apprentice dies like that. At least let her die heroically or something!"

"I don't know. But at least the foxes were taken care of."
"At least there's that," she agreed gratefully. Then she sighed. "Many things happen in this world that we don't understand, but what matters is we learn to accept that. We move on, and we learn to love those who remain all the more fiercely. We won't understand them no matter how hard we try. We can't understand, but we can accept."

(sorry internet sucks here)

"Very wise words." He said, licking her ear. "Do you want to say that in front of everyone who is sitting vigil for her?"

(It's okay)
She returned the lick and smiled. "I think I would. If this scratch allows it, which I hope it will. Because I know that might be something cats will need to hear. Even though I've never been very confident when it comes to public speaking..."

"Don't worry I'll be beside you the whole time." He reassured her, then with a twitch of his whiskers he added "Besides, you need me to support you." He helped her stand and let her lean on his shoulder to go into the clearing.
