*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

"Don't worry I'll be beside you the whole time." He reassured her, then with a twitch of his whiskers he added "Besides, you need me to support you." He helped her stand and let her lean on his shoulder to go into the clearing.
She tried not to wince as she stumbled into the clearing, and her eyes fell on Rainpaw's broken body. Her pelt had been groomed of all the blood, and her limbs were arranged in a way so that she might have been sleeping. Except this was a sleep she would never wake up from. Lilyflight's heart twisted at the sight of it.

(Here's a pic of Bramblefall I drew, you can't really see his mouth though...)

Bramblefall grimaced when he saw the body, but knew he had to be strong for her. He confidently walked into the clearing and helped her stand near where all the cats were gathered.

Lilyflight stood, leaning on Bramblefall for support. "I-I'll never..." she began. But then she took a deep breath and continued. I feel like a medicine cat, she thought. "I'll never understand why this happened," she said. "And I don't think anyone else here will, either. It's heartbreaking to lose a Clanmate, especially one so young, who had her whole life ahead of her. StarClan does things we don't understand, and maybe we're not meant to. We can't understand, but we can accept. We can accept Rainpaw's death, however sad it is. We will grieve for her, but from her death we can learn to love everyone who remains."

Whiteshine and Sunpaw was the first among many who stood up and yowled their agreement at her speech. Once they were down, the thick silence enveloped them again and they all sat back down.

Bramblefall helped Lilyflight back to the medicine-den and checked her wound dressing to make sure it hadn't opened. "You did great." He mewed, laying beside her again, content that the dressing didn't open up.

"Thanks," she mewed, wincing in pain. "I always get nervous talking to the Clan, I don't know why." Lilyflight cast a sorrowful glance towards the area where Rainpaw was laying. "May StarClan receive her..."

He looked at her sympathetically, knowing how much she must be grieving. "It's probably just social anxiety." He mewed jokingly. His tone became more serious and he said "StarClan, please light her path on her way to you, let her have peace knowing that she will always be remembered, let her have easy traveling so that she may find you without trouble."

Lilyflight nodded in agreement, sighing. "She was a good young cat... Always ready to help any cat who needed it, however small."
