Hazelkit walked in and nuzzled her comfortingly. "I know it's hard." She mewed "But we can't stop destiny."

“Why did you think I could handle this?” She asked, a sob still in her voice as she lifted her tear-stained face to look at Hazelkit. “Why did anyone think I could handle it? I don’t know what to do. I know I can’t do anything, and that makes it worse. I try anyway and then it feels like my fault when I fail.”

She licked her ears, then seemed to grow into a full sized cat. She looked, smelled, and sounded exactly like Spottedleaf now. "But it's not."

She looked in surprise and stood up respectfully. “But Spottedleaf... it feels that way. I try to do my best and then it doesn’t work. I know it’s not supposed to work, but it still feels like it’s something I did or could have done better.”
