She laughed with him. "Yeah, good point. Okay, we can tell cats if you want. I can tell a couple of my friends... And pretty soon the gossip will be all around camp. I guess that's one way to do it."

"Yeah, it is. Gossip travels around fast. I would imagine Sunpaw would be the first you would tell since you two have been hanging out with each other so much."

"Maybe," she agreed. She glanced at the sun and gave Bramblefall another lick. "We really should be getting back now... I guess we'll see how it plays out. If we hurry I could tell Sunpaw before she leaves for training."

"Okay, let's go." He set off at a brisk pace but kept talking as they walked. "Or, we'll catch them on their way out.


Sunpaw emerged from her den, feeling that something special was about to happen. Her tail-tip twitched with anticipation while picking a thrush from the pile. She didn't know what made her excited, but she waited patiently to find out.

Lilyflight hurried into the camp and practically bounced to Sunpaw's side. "Hey Sunpaw, guess what?" she asked.
