*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

"A fox's den?" she asked. "There's another thing I didn't do right, then," she mewed bitterly. "Even if it's abandoned, it's not a good idea to go into a fox's den!"
"Lilyflight listen! Blackpaw is about to do something really bad unless we stop him! You heard the prophecy! We need to go and you need to stop thinking those things!"

"You're right," she said quietly. "We need to go. I'd tell Robinstar or Bramblefall but I don't want to interrupt them!" She suddenly had an idea. "Okay, tell Whiteshine where we're going. She can tell them when they're done. In the meantime, I'll be waiting at the entrance for you to show me this fox den."

"Ok" she ran off and told her than bounded out of camp, Lilyflight on her tail. They reached the den in 5 minutes, not stopping for anything. "Here it is." She mewed sniffing the air and smelling him.

Lilyflight crept closer and took a deep breath. "Blackpaw?" she called softly. "Blackpaw, are you in there?"

Blackpaw heard the voices of his clanmates and suddenly instead of a flood of thoughts, there was a tsunami. He wished he could clasp his paws over his ears like a twoleg to black out the sound. Blackpaw stepped back in the den and found a secret exit. It looked like it had been used by the last inhabitance for its edges were worn out and there seemed to be paw-steps out of the den. He slipped out of the den like a badger then bolted for a nearby tree clawing his way up it.

"Blackpaw!" Lilyflight called, feeling panicked as she heard rapid pawsteps. She turned to face Sunpaw. "I'm going in," she told her firmly. "You can come if you like, but stay behind me. I don't know what's in there."

Blackpaw watched Lilyflight from the tree. His eyes blazing with fear and hatred. He just wanted a place to think and his mentor had to stumble in and make things worse. It was like they wanted him to be even more grumpy than he already was.

"Oh Blackpaw," she muttered as she faced the fox den. "Please don't tell me my fears are correct."
