Bramblestar walked around camp, trying to find at least one of his kits so he could try and bond with them before it was too late.

Thistlekit roamed around in between the milling cats, not having a single care in the world.

Bramblestar saw him and called out "Thistlekit, come here!"

Thistlekit ducked his head and approached him, wondering what he had done that made the Clan leader call him out specifically.

Bramblestar swept him to his side with his tail and mewed, "Come on, let's go over here where there are less cats."

Thistlekit followed, still ducking his head, not really knowing that Bramblestar was his father.

Bramblestar was content with the area he chose, so he sat down and looked at his son with fondness and affection.

Thistlekit wondered why the leader was looking at him this way, it made him uncomfortable. He stretched out his mind and thought to Lilyflight 'Lilyflight, please come over here right now! I feel very uncomfortable and I'm not sure what to do!'

"Isn't it taking a little while?" she asked, slightly worried. "Stay with him, Thistlekit needs me." She walked over to the camp when she spotted him.

"No, some have taken days. During those times I sat next to him ans smooshed food and water into his mouth to stay alive." She explained "Have fun with Thistlekit!"


Thistlekit saw her and looked at her with pleading eyes

Bramblestar followed his gaze and saw Lilyflight. He twitched his tail awkwardly, not knowing what to do.

"Ummm, just trying to talk with Thistlekit, like you said to try to do." Bramblestar whispered "It's not going very well, all that's happened is us staring at each other awkwardly, I don't think he knows I'm his father!"

Thistlekit watched them anxiously, wondering if he was in trouble.
