*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Bramblestar and Sunstrike were impressed with her first kill, but decided eariler that in order to move onto the group hunting, she would need to kill at least 3 squirrels
(lol)
Magpiepaw buried her kill precisely to collect after the assessment. She then slithered deeper into the undergrowth with careful pawsteps. She slowed to a halt, her eyes locked fixedly on a squirrel chattering on a birch trunk several tali-lengths away. Close enough for a strong leap if I can aim my approach. She mused. Figuring it was worth a try, she moved to a horizontal slope, level with her prey. Her leg muscles bunched, preparing for the leap. She sprung, her left forepaw catching the startled squirrel around the neck. She landed with perfect balance, quickly delivering the killing bite.

Bramblestar nodded in approval, noticing she used her surroundings as an advantage over the prey. Last one He thought as he scented another squirrel a couple fox-lengths away from where she was.

After burying her second squirrel, Magpiepaw felt pleasantly sure of herself and what was to come. Her paws moved forward quickly, following a fresh scent trail leading to a clearing littered with seeds and nuts, a haven for foraging squirrels. She crouched low, hidden behind the gently swaying fronds of surrounding ferns. Her eyes fixed determinedly on the little gray animal before her. This situation was more tricky and difficult being an open space, the edge of surprise would be difficult to achieve. In a split second, a plan clicked in her head. She sped silently around the edge of the clearing noiselessly, still concealed by the thick stretch of undergrowth. Directly head on of the squirrel, she halted. Still hidden, she pressed purposefully on a twig, hearing a satisfying snap. The squirrels ears poised as it stared alertly in that direction. In that moment of confusion, Magpiepaw dashed around to the other side, sprinting forward and out into the clearing as her leap brought her forepaws squarely on her prey's back. Proud of her plans' success, she delivered the killing bite once more.

(Sorry that took so long.)

Bramblestar and Sunstrike jumped out of the branches together and approached her. "Great job! Very impressive!" He praised her. "Are you ready for your group hunting assignment?"
