Strikewhisper and took her to the nursery. He licked her dry and then let her sit in the nest. He padded out and saw a mouse. It was looking for food in the deep snow. He crouched, one two three and pounced, killing it. He padded in happily and passed it to Snowkit.

"Thanks!" She ate, careful to chew it enough. She still preferred milk, but it definitely tasted better than last time she tried it. Snowkit purred with contentment and cuddled up to Strikewhisper, starting to doze.

Strikewhisper let his pelt warm her and ate the remaining mouse and then tucked his tail around his kit and dozed off.
