She purred and returned the lick. “Let’s get back before they decide on our murder plan!” she joked.
He laughed "Alright. I'll race you there!" He raced into the undergrowth, almost running over a rabbit before it shot away from him and he changed his plans from the race to catching that rabbit. He pelted after it without hesitation
She watched in awe as he caught it. “How’d you do that?” she asked as she picked her way towards him.
He panted and set the rabbit down. "I was running, almost ran over rabbit, changed plans, pelted after rabbit, rabbit dead, I just trusted my instinct. You just need to be confident and trust yourself and you can do these types of things."
“But that’s incredible! How’d you even nearly in it over in the first place?”
"No idea. I just raced off to try and win and next thing I know, I'm almost tripping over a rabbit." He shrugged
“That’s amazing.” She shook her head in wonder. “Let’s take it back. Maybe we’ll be saved from elder duty if we bring back prey.”
He nodded in agreement and picked up the rather large brown rabbit
She helped him carry it back and together they set it on the fresh-kill pile.
