They came to a patch of it beside a small stream "Remember it's scent. We deal a lot with scent to tell which herb is which as a medicine cat." She instructed, carefully nipping some stems
Floodpaw nodded, watching carefully.
"Don't nip them too low, or they won't grow back. Don't nip them too high either, or you want have enough of the healing juices." She continued
She nodded again.
"Try to gather some." She suggested once she had a nice mouthful of marigold
Floodpaw nodded and bit the stem near the bottom, prying it off as carefully as she could.
"Good." She nodded after inspecting the stem that was left. "Gather some more then we'll go gather some burdock."
“Okay.” She nipped off a few more stalks and held them in her jaws carefully.
Once she was content with what they gathered, she started limping toward the nearest burdock patch
