*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

He took a deep breath, and remember the time he was tested with Larksong. He bent down to look at the kit. "Hello, Featherkit." He mewed gently. He straightened and looked Darksky in the eye. "I know he isn't real. I was tested when I became a warrior to kill Larksong, but that was just an illusion."

Rosethorn let out a sigh of relief. Flykit was trying to crawl to Snowfrost while Featherkit was leaned against him, fidgeting in his sleep. He carefully moved them toward their mother and curled around them again with a purr of relief. "Thank you."
Featherkit let out another cry as he looked up at the dark tress and the rancid stench of the forest hit his nose.

“Really.” Darksky looked amused. “Would you like to see for yourself it it’s real or not?”

“Of course,” Floodlight responded. “Get me immediately if she gets worse. I’ll come by to check on her later. Hopefully she’ll be healed enough by then to be moved to the medicine den so I can keep an eye on her.” With that, she exited the nursery.

Brackenkit looked at Snowfrost with wide eyes. “Is she okay?” he asked Sunstrike.

He flicked the kit lightly with his tail-tip, causing him to disappear, but he was immediately replaced with a kit that looked very similar. It was so fast it was hard to tell it even happened. He knew this kit was from WindClan and that he was going to die soon anyway due to sickness. He was too weak to even drink milk and his parents had already prepared themselves emotionally to lose him. "Sure." He shrugged, and with that, he bit into the back of his neck, breaking it. "Hm. It appears it was real." He mewed when he saw the kit shimmer and turn to dust. "Sad."

"Ok, I will." He promised

“Sad indeed,” Darksky agreed in a colorless voice. “However, it’s not quite what I asked of you.”

Featherkit woke with a scream. “Mama!”

He glared at her. "What are you talking about? He's dead. You saw it."

Rosethorn licked his head. "What happened?"

“I asked you to kill Featherkit,” she retorted, for she had missed nothing. She had expected something like that.

He whimpered, not knowing how to convey his feelings as he had only just said his first word. “Scared.”

Snowfrost twitched and groaned, blearily opening her eyes halfway. She made an attempt to move.

He whimpered, not knowing how to convert his feelings as he had only just said his first word. “Scared.”

Snowfrost twitched and groaned, blearily opening her eyes halfway. She made an attempt to move.
Rosethorn gently held Snowfrost down. He brought Featherkit closer to her. "Can you describe what you saw?"

He growled softly. "Why does it matter which kit I kill? I killed a kit, that's the point."

"Their daughter?" He asked, confused. "They haven't had kits yet."
"But.. a Riverclan cat came to camp and called them her parents." Nightpaw mewed, uncertain. He must know about them.. unless it was a secret? Maybe that's why she's in Riverclan!

"That is strange." He agreed. "I haven't heard of any cats that have moved from ThunderClan to RiverClan in my life, sorry. If it's really important, I'm sure you can talk to Bramblestar."

She slid a front paw toward her mate and kit, offering silent support. She wanted to move again, but didn’t struggle against Rosethorn.

“Scared,” Featherkit whimpered.

“Nightmare?” Snowfrost spoke very softly, her voice a little higher than it normally was as she swept her tail around Featherkit. She felt dazed and confused. Where was she again?

“You wouldn’t kill the kit that was already here! It’s because you couldn’t bring yourself to kill the kit of Snowfrost! It’s like I said, you’re too soft. You don’t want this enough!” Darksky hissed.
