*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

“I guess you would call me a loner.” Frosty replied. All the strange words they use...
(Ah, I didn't get the alert)
He nodded in understanding. "Alright, we're going to take you back to our camp for a little while until we know that those dogs or those cats that were chasing you aren't going to come back. After that, you're free to leave if you choose to do so." He explained. "We will have at least one warrior with you at all times, just to be on the safe side. I hope you understand. You're free to roam around the territory as long as a warrior is present. You can eat alongside us and there are plenty of streams around the camp to drink from." He paused, thinking, then said "Sunstrike will be the warrior who is assigned to you unless she is training her apprentice or doing other duties."
Sunstrike dipped her head in recognition.
"You're not a prisoner, we just need to do this for the safety of the Clan and it will protect you, too." With everything explained, he called Thistlefern back from his investigation and with the help of Owlherb, began making the way slowly back to camp. Sunstrike, Rainbird, and Thistlefern stayed near Frosty in case he tried to bolt.

“Uhhh- okay, then.” Frosty said. He had never met cats so friendly yet so cautious. He couldn’t tell if they were being welcoming or unwelcoming. I’m just gonna go with it for now. Frosty decided. He followed them, and once they reached the camp he gazed about in awe. When he had crossed their borders he certainly hadn’t expected this. He thought that there would be several small family groups living in the same general area, and that they wouldn’t really notice just another lone tom added to the mix. How wrong he was. These cats were organized and apparently even had rules!

The cats split up, Bramblestar to his den with Owlherb following closely, Rainbird and Thistlefern to the fresh-kill pile to share a meal, and Sunstrike stayed with him. "It's a lot to take in, isn't it?" She smiled. "You know, I was like you once, too. Me and my sister, we came here as kits. One of the queens adopted us and taught us the Clans ways. No one knew that we weren't Clanborn. Then... then a fox attacked my sister while she was gathering herbs. She died when she was 8 moons old. She was going to be such a good medicine cat, too..." She shook her head, clearing her thoughts. "Anyway, most everyone found out about us not being Clanborn after that, but I was already respected enough that they didn't do anything." She waved her tail, a signal for him to follow as she approached the warriors den

Prairiepaw bounced up to her mentor. "SOOoooOOOoooo....can I come along to help you guard this intruder?"
Sunstrike grimaced, Prairiepaw having bounced up beside her just as she was about to introduce Frosty to the other warriors. She sighed and turned around to face her. "He is no longer an intruder. He is a guest that has be guarded. If he were an intruder, we wouldn't have brought him to the camp." She said, figuring it was a good teaching moment. "And, no you're not to be helping guard him. I'll take you out hunting later. You're not trained well enough yet in battle to be taking on duties like this. Soon, but not yet." She dismissed her with a wave of her tail before turning back to Frosty. "Sorry, that's my apprentice, Prairepaw. She's pretty... outspoken."

Hawkpaw walked up to Prairepaw, amusement in his eyes. "Smooth," He teased, "If you want to help with something like that, you've got to be more subtle about asking."

Prairiepaw bounced up to her mentor. "SOOoooOOOoooo....can I come along to help you guard this intruder?"
Frosty nodded mutely. He was about to reply to her story when a young cat pranced up. He shrank back. She looked about the same age as him, but he was a lot smaller. Frosty cocked his head at her. She’s a bit.. annoying.

After Sunstrike shooed her away, she explained, "That's my apprentice, Prairepaw. In the Clans, being an apprentice means you're a warrior in training. It's the mentors' duty to teach them how to hunt, fight, and all the Clan rules. You look about 7 or 8 moons, so that means you'd be an apprentice if you decided that you would want to stay here." She dropped the hint lightly that he could stay if he wanted to. "C'mon, I'll introduce you to the other apprentices." She meowed, trotting over to the apprentice's den.

Prairiepaw saw the look on his face and raised her hackles. She was about to shoot out a witty insult, when her mentor stepped in and shooed her away. She rolled her eyes, sighed dramatically, and stalked away.

“8 moons?” Frosty meowed. He almost snorted. For a second he wasn’t sure if she was joking. Have you seen how small I am, clan-cat? “I’m 6 moons old,” he corrected, feeling a bit shy again as they headed towards the apprentices’ den.
