*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

“8 moons?” Frosty meowed. He almost snorted. For a second he wasn’t sure if she was joking. Have you seen how small I am, clan-cat? “I’m 6 moons old,” he corrected, feeling a bit shy again as they headed towards the apprentices’ den.
She nodded. "Sorry, I'm a bit bad at judging ages. Don't worry, most of the apprentices are nice." She assured him, seeing him suddenly change his posture from one of curiousness to one of wariness. "Lionpaw, Hazelpaw, Hawkpaw!" She called into the den. Lionpaw emerged first, closely followed by Hazelpaw. Hawkpaw lagged behind, obviously not wanting to be there. "This is Frosty," She introduced them one by one, gesturing with her tail as she named each of them. Lionpaw's eyes shown of curiosity and excitement, Hazelpaw regarded him carefully, while Hawkpaw looked like he could care less. "There are other apprentices, but you've already met them or they're out hunting or training."

Prairiepaw saw the look on his face and raised her hackles. She was about to shoot out a witty insult, when her mentor stepped in and shooed her away. She rolled her eyes, sighed dramatically, and stalked away.
Hawkpaw got up and left the group of cats being introduced to Frosty and walked up to Prairepaw. "Hey, you good?" He asked, his tone neutral.

"I don't like that new cat--Frosty, his name is? He looked at me like this--" she mimicked his expression. "He's in NO position to judge me. He just got here--and he's a prisoner!" She finished her rant, plunking down hard on her haunches and gnawed at a tick on her shoulder.

"Uh..." He stalled, not being great at telling cats what they wanted to hear. "I'm sorry?" He tried. "I know it's hard for people to judge you, but you can't let them get under your skin. If you do that, then they'll realize they can annoy you and continue to do it." He spoke genuinely, from experience, even adding a timid smile at the end. Uh... What's happening to me? He wondered, shaking his head slightly. He never gave good advice or actually cared about what he was talking about with another cat.

"Huh." Prairiepaw looked past him and stared at Frosty, deep in thought for a second. Shaking her head to clear it, she got to her paws quickly. "Okay. I'll try not to show him i'm upset. Thanks" She gave him a thankful nudge with her shoulder as she brushed past.

"Yeah, no problem." Falconpaw meowed after her before stalking through the thorn tunnel to practice some battle moves with his mentor

“Uh... hi,” Forsty wasn’t sure what else to say. Hey, everyone, I’m the cat that just crossed into your territory, nice to meet you! He scratched his face with a paw, using it as an excuse to look away from the apprentices’ faces.
