Runny eyes in three mth old chicks

I had a clutch of 14 chicks hatch . 4 have had runny eyes the whole time . I put meds in their eyes (neomycin and polymyxin b) but they never did improve . Should I put antibiotics in their water ? If so what kind ? Thanks

Can you post some photos?
How old are the chicks?
What type of bedding are you using?
Any other symptoms like coughing, sneezing, mucous from the nostrils?

Try to keep their eyes flushed with saline and apply your ointment. Offer poultry vitamins to their water and watch to see if they are eating well.

There can be many causes of watery eyes conjunctivitis, respiratory illness and environment (buildup of ammonia, dusty conditions, etc.).
