Runny nose chick?! Help!

Our baby chick, Pumpkin, has a slight runny nose.

I have heard of a disease(forgot the name) when a chicken gets a runny nose and it has a bad odor, and it isn't clear. and also there is swelling on the face with that disease. But our chick has a small runny nose, and the mucus is clear and doesn't have any strong or nasty odor. Her face has no swelling and she seems curious and active(loves taking "dirt" baths in her brooder, although there is only newspaper in there LOL) and she is eating her chick starter and ground corn daily. She has fresh water, too that she can get access to anytime she wants. If she has a runny nose, is it something that is serious and is it harmful to the rest of the flock? She is all by herself in the brooder, since her sister recently died for some reason.

She also sneezes once and a while.
Any ideas on what his is and what to do???

Please??? No one answered last time and I really need an answer now! Our poor baby chick may be in danger and I really need some advise!

If you do a search on this forum for "runny nose", you will get several pages of "hits". Read each resulting thread from beginning to end - and then see if any of the symptoms match what you are seeing.

I found one for runny nose that described my rooster exactly - and it ended up being..... a runny nose. It cleared up within a couple of hours.

I have no idea how to diagnose what is going on with your chicken as I've never had any health issues with my chickens, but I feel bad you seem so desperate, so decided to respond. If you do the search and then read all the results, I bet you'll find something that matches what your chicken is displaying.

vetrx. 2 drops down the throat, a drop under each wing, if that doesnt help you'll need antibiotics.,,,, take that back now that i noiticed the word CHICK,, the bottle will tell you how to water it down,, i would get a bottle and read and follow directions,, even if not needed now,, 1 day you will need it
