Our duck hatched 12 babies last Wednesday. I came home on Thursday and found one baby in the water dish (only about an inch tall) just floating there. She was cold and lathargic. I brought her in and now she is being raised in the house in a brooder box. Today I noticed she has a runny nose. She seems fine otherwise. Still energetic, peeps, runs around, eats, drinks. Just watery drips from her nose which she shakes her head to clear out. I don’t want to lose this baby. Is she sick?

What would I do for that? We’ve raised ducklings before and never had this issue.

She was just in a lukewarm bath a bit ago and when I pulled her out she coughed up some mucous. I’m so worried about her!

When you put her into a bath make sure the water is nice and warm. They can chill if it isn't. Then pat dry and put back under heat. Can you hear any rattling when you listen to her breathe?
If she needed an antibiotic a vet would be the best way to go about that so you get the right one for what is going on.

Try a small amount of ACV in her drinking water. Does she have a bowl deep enough to dip her head in to keep her nares clear? Say 1 Tea to a pint of water.

Yes her water is deep enough. I don’t hear any labored breathing. She is sneezing a bit when the water is coming out of her nose. I’ll try the ACV. She seems happy and healthy besides the sneezing and watery nose.
