I got these three 6 week old girls about a week ago. I've been taking good care of them and feeding and watering regularly. Two mornings ago I noticed that the white coronation had a runny nose. I tried to get her to eat some apples and other things just trying to get some nourishment in her. Within 24 hours she was dead. The other two seem to be in good health with no problems. I just wanted to see if there was anything I could do to prevent this from happening again. I don't know if the bird was already sick when I bought her or what.

I appreciate they help and advice. Thanks!

Don't feel bad she was probably born with a default... If your other chickens seem ok then I wouldn't worrie. This is cold season for them... So I would advise getting a packet of minerals and electrolytes from your feed store to boost their immune system during this season.

Sorry for your loss.

Sincerely
