Wat should I use for mites that won't hurt them? I'm leary of 7 dust.

Sevin dust does work, you can also get Garden and Poultry dust from Tractor Supply. If they do indeed have mites you will need to re-treat all the birds and the coop as well every 7 to 10 days until the bugs are gone. That is their hatch cycle and the dust does not kill the eggs. They also hide very well so if you miss a few they just repopulate. For the coop I like using Sevin spray, its easier to get it into all the nooks and crannies where the bugs hide. Also need to completely strip, treat and re-bed the coop.

K..I haven't seen any bugs at all. Their cones just had some small spots on them. They havent gotten worse or anything. Ill see wat else tractor supply has.

I have always had a light in my coop. Day and nite. I check on them at nite and they seem fine. But were fixing to start changing seasons and they have really gotten inconsistent w egg laying. Does the artificial light have anything to do w it? It doesn't get dark till about 830.
