Runt chick?

I bought a group of Brahmas a few weeks ago. One of them has been such a slow grower.....

This is them two weeks ago

The rest have since moved outside

But this one is still inside with all the chicks weeks younger

I think the slow growing could mean she's a bantam

Really? They all came from the same box at the feed store....

Yes, they could of got the bantams mixed with the regular sized ones. Feed stores sometimes mess up on their breeds

My only thing is at the time they didn't have any bantams there at all...in fact this store hasn't had any bantams all spring

Hmmm.. Maybe she isn't a bantam. Some chicks are just smaller than others. Its normal, or yes she could be a runt.

I think she is a bantam she would no be that small if not. Maybe the hatchery messed up.

She's always been just as active and healthy as the others...just smaller. Lol
