I have 6 babies that are one week old. When I got them at 2 days old, they all seemed about the same size. I have 2 delawares that are now the noticeable biggest chickens (which i sort of expected, i'm just surprised how much proportionaly bigger they are in a just one week).
I have three red sex links (RIR X Delaware) that are all about the same size, then one littel delaware that is the same size as the sex links. She seesm to be eating and drinking fine, seems healthy enough - I'm just wondering why she is so small. Are there "runt" chickens? Should I be concerned at all - maybe she is just a slower developer?

Yes, there can be some that are smaller than others. I have one barred rock hen that is smaller than her sisters. However, she is the pushiest and most vocal of the four barred rocks that I have! Nellie is also very quick and very good at stealing food from everyone as well. As long as your chick is eating and drinking and acting normal, I wouldnt worry.

I've been watching my 'runt" more carefully today. She seems to be eating/drinking Ok, but, seem maybe just a little lethargic, & seems to have very watery/runny poo.... Any suggestions?
