Runt of our group getting beat up, bleeding leg now

Thanks all for the replies. We have a store bought (apparently this is frowned upon as wife works for tsc and this in the consensus) coop that says holds up to 8. We feed them layer food mixed with some corn mainly, and mix in mealworms, scratch and little ball things occasionally. Due to us having hawks, coyotes, etc.. (our 2 lion head rabbits both got massacred overnight in cage awhile back), we cant let them run Willy nilly unsupervised. Have plans to expand a bit, but we work and it’s winter. Springtime is expansion time, if Ursula makes it that long!

One thing you can do to expand your space on a temporary basis, is to cover the sides of the prefab coop and turn the "run" space into coop space with several different perches. For an expanded run, get some t-posts from Tractor supply and get some fencing like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N58PP78/ref=twister_B078Y1GGGG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 to make a run. It won't be protected from the top but it will allow your birds more room to roam. Also you HAVE to shut your birds in at night to keep them safe as the run won't be completely predator proof. If you have a problem with birds of pray in your area, you can always set up a bird net over the run.

It would be a temporary fix, but I think your issue will only get worse as winter progresses if you don't add space now.
