I got 2 broad breasted bronze turkeys yesterday and one of them is happy and healthy and active. The other one is ALWAYS sleeping, never eats or drinks, and can barley walk. what is going on??

How is the poult doing? Still alive?

These guys can fade fast for no apparent reason `failure to thrive'.

It has to be hydrated. Infant/poultry electrolyte formulation mixed with macerated Meal worm (very thin gruel) and a pinch of sugar. Use an eyedropper and drip into open beak from one side or the other (make sure it is swallowing - don't squirt it). See if you can get some tap water down it immediately..

Sounds like if you don't act fast you'll lose it. Agree with ivan3 --- they can fade fast for no apparent reason.

What color is its faeces, assuming it's done some you know for sure is its? What consistency? If it's not pooping at all then it's been in this state for a while and the person you bought it off should be contacted for a chat and maybe even a refund, if it was like this when you bought it...

If the poops' 'white' is bright yellow with a khaki green 'dark', if any, and it's liquid, then it's blackhead; that's one severe disease you can easily diagnose by faecal color and consistency. Advanced at the stage I described it; the poops gradually attain those colors and liquidity as the disease progresses. Once blackhead is far gone they sit down all day, don't eat, and may drink water at the most, but not often. The cure is a cup of unpasteurized, unhomogenized (raw) cow's milk with the fat skimmed off the top, mixed with a flat teaspoon roughly of preferably raw honey. Works the majority of the time. But I don't know that your turkey has blackhead, just a random suggestion that may or may not be helpful. Maybe only in future. Helps to know what kind of poop it's doing.

Sorry about your poult :(

the same exact thing happened to me when I got my BB whites. I bought two and after the first day one really went downhill fast and died soon after. The second is now about 6 weeks old and has been doing great, but just today I noticed he was limping and seemed sort of depressed. I added electrolytes to water and he ate some goodies (worms from the garden, some pieces of scrambled egg, sunflower seeds) I hope he's ok

That sucks. Sorry for your loss. You may want to contact the breeder, if only to find out what happened, because if they have a sickness in their flock they would probably have info on it. Though it can be difficult or impossible in some circumstances to find the actual breeder... Did it look sick when you bought it?
