Not exactly an emergency or disease, more like a curiosity matter on my part; but this was the most fitting forum I could see to ask.
I have a young flock of Barred Rocks and ISA reds (Rock hatch didn’t go so well, so I picked up the others at TSC to have something to raise with the few I hatched.) They're five and a half weeks, mostly feathered out and starting to look like chickens…
One of the ISA pullets is about half the size of her coopmates and still rough & scraggly looking. A runt. I’m just wondering what issues I might expect down the road with her- general health problems, egg laying issues, whatever.

We had a runt in our chicks. Now at 12 wks I couldn't tell you which one it is, caught up and is doing just fine. I never really worried about runts, they all seemed to do fine and get lost in flock. Laying was never effected. These were all Rock Types and RIRs. Currently BLK AUS.

We had a runt that started out growing slowly but then turned out well. She's a year old and not much smaller than her siblings.
