Rural King obviously messed up

So I bought some chicks at Rural King a few weeks ago. 4 EE's, 4 Silver-laced Wyandottes, and 2 "buff Orpingtons." Well, the "buff Orps" are black w/gold streaks, so wondering if anyone can identify what they actually are?

Could they be Gold-Laced Wyandottes?

Ahhh. I was thinking the laced Wyandottes' feathers were black with the other color laced, but it's the other way around! I guess I'm going to have some very pretty chickens on my hands here. THANKS!

They have the same markings as my Silver Laced Wyandottes

They're glw, just not as cleanly marked. I think the glw are newer than the slw, so the quality of the lacing, esp in hatchery stock, is still somewhat wanting.

You'll find that your chicks' colors will change and evolve as they grow. Gold laced means the feathers are red (gold) in the center with black around the edges. Silver laced means white in the middle with black around the edges. Roosters typically won't have the same lacing as a hen. They will instead have red or white "capes" over their shoulders and wing bows and that will start being evident within the next few weeks if you have roos. Plus, hatchery birds are reknown for inconsistancies. While your birds may not end up with perfect lacing, they will still be lovely and, hopefully, provide you with lots of yummy eggs.

Well they're "supposed" to be pullets, but only time will tell!
