I know this is an older thread but I was wondering if anybody is able to share photos of their Orloff’s eggs? I have a mystery layer in my little flock! I thought it was my Orloff that has been laying but now I’m wondering if it’s been my Cochin all along lol. Although my Orloff has been squatting and got red in the face around the time I found the first egg (she was only 4 months old at the time!) and my Cochin just now started squatting for me. I just haven’t been able to catch them in the act so I’m perplexed!

Those eggs could possibly be mistaken for each other. If pure breed chickens, orloff eggs are light brown and cochin eggs are tinted to yellow brown.
Since orloffs are slow to mature, a 4 month old bird won't be laying eggs.
Check @aart 's article to see who is laying. It is all about the space between the pelvic bones. No guessing.
