-Russian Orloffs-

I have two Russian Orloff pullets that are 6 months old and I hatched 7 more a few weeks ago. I'm unsure of their gender yet, but they are cute babies. I was given the pullets by a friend that was moving and just fell in love.

I have a 25 week old Russian Orloff and she is one of the few of my March hatchlings that isn't laying yet. I didn't think much of it because she's little and there are 2 others still not laying either but I looked up average and it says Russian Orloffs can start around 16 weeks. Is the Google lying to me or is my Natasha broken?
As much as I love google and use it frequently, there is also that caveat of 'you can't believe everything you read on the internet'.
I would love to have Orloffs but I only have the time and space to do justice to one breed so I have reduced to keeping only my favorite after having over 30 breeds.

But, Orloffs are slow to mature. Add to that you are waiting on eggs at a time of year when day length is decreasing at the fastest rate. That tells their bodies to delay production.

So cute! :love My Orloff is in my profile picture.
My babies are definitely in their ugly teenager stage, but they are still cuties. I can't wait to see them with their big kid feathers! I'll be back in a few weeks asking for gender help LOL! Orloff is beautiful!
