"Russians"?

Hi! I've read in a few places that Black Russian orloffs were once recognized by the APA as Russians but dropped out of lack of interest. Is this true? And if so, why haven't breeds like Hollands and Lamonas been dropped? How does a breed or variety get dropped?

Rules have changed through the years. It has become so very difficult to have a new breed included in the APA that I don't think you'll be seeing many if any breeds dropped again.

In the ABA breeds are not dropped they just go 'inactive.'
