FINALLY.. I think that Rusty has produced a rooster that looks like
him.. EXCEPT.. he is going to have muffs and feathered feet!

We cannot keep him, and I am sad to get rid of him.
I plan to sell himin early August at the fairgrounds.
I hope that someone will take him that will send me pictures of him
all grown up. With my luck, someone will take him to eat.

but.. that's the life of a chicken I suppose...

BYC members tend to appreciate these gorgeous crossbred roosters! Rusty is a good rooster. If he weren't, I'd have gotten rid of him a couple years ago.

I have no clue what he is crossed with. I kind of think Cochin and barred Rock.. I have wondered about Maran too..

Gosh, I wish we lived closer cause I would certainly take him. He is gorgeous. I am getting rid of very mean aggressive RIR and 2 black and white hamburgs tomorow and going to get something new, would like him thought. lol hope you find someone that will keep him and not eat him. I feel the same way bout mine even though Jake is so mean, he still doesn't have to be killed.
