Can you feed raw shredded rutabagas to chickens. I was going to fix some but thought I better check first. [IMG]

I can remember my grandma cooking them and the ''adults'' ate them like candy. [IMG]

I just couldn't handle them. I'm so old now I would probably like them now. [IMG]

If they are store bought you might want to peel them first. Some stores put a layer of wax on them. I've heard you can also feed the green tops to chickens and they enjoy them.

From looking around online I think the most people cook them but you could try feeding them raw and if they don't like it that way then you could try cooking them. Sounds more like the chickens personal preference and the ability to eat it (since its so hard).
