I don't have a pickup truck. Will the following tool be able to cut corrugated plastic roofing panels so that it can fit in my car? And how do I make it cut straight across the plastic panel? Do I use a metal straight edge to help guide it or do I just try to make the cut almost perfectly straight with my hand? I will be doing this in the parking lot of home depot.

Snips can split plastic roofing. Use that tool but get a plywood blade and turn it backwards. Use a chalk line to pop a line. The backwards plywood blade will leave a clean cut

The corrugated plastic at Home Depot and Lowes is relatively pliable. I just enclosed a greenhouse and including the soffit, probably made 20 plus cuts with no splits using the snips. The older corrugated plastic was a lot more brittle but the new stuff, not so much.

If you ask them at the store they may cut the material for you for free. It just cost you the question. If they will you saved money and possible head ache.
