Sad buff with overly dry skin

My 18 month buff Orpington has extremely dry skin on her face. Any suggestions for moisturizing? I think I over stressed her with a warm bath because she had dust mites, before we learned about the darthmatus (sp?) earth.

She has not been the same since.

The DE is what is causing the dry skin.
Throw it away...it won't get rid of mites anyways.

Do you know if aloe would be gentle enough to put on her skin?

I'd think it would be ok.
Coconut oil is good too.

If she had mites, get some permethrin 10% liquid from TSC or other feed stores, and follow the mixing instructions inside for chickens. There is a strength for treating the bird as well as for treating the coop. Is she close to molting? They molt around this time of year and the skin can get very dry and flakey.
