Not sure what being the Mayors cat has to do with it? Just because he is the mayor he doesn't have to be accountable for his cat killing your chicken? Even More so I'd make them pay for it and ask them to please keep their cat home and Yes if a cat can get one then Many other animals can to so I agree it's a good idea to secure it better. If the cat comes back I'd try and get it and to the shelter it would go, I can't kill and animal but this way if they find it there they will have to pay to get it back....oh yea, he's the mayor so prob not, that's BS

I know its their nature to hunt,but if i had my chickens in a cage and that happen.it would be a dead cat.
