I have the same issue from insensitive morons (who are also co-workers and friends) .. making jokes about chickens and even eating horses etc..

I just laugh right along with them .. they don't find it near as much fun if you don't get mad .. and they move on to another victim.

It hurts when people say things with the sole purpose of upsetting you. That alone is upsetting. When you work with people, it is helpful to feel like you are part of a team. Teammates don't hurt each other for sport. I know how lonely it feels when co-workers do things like that. I hope you find another job soon; and until you do, try to comfort yourself with the knowledge that you have us and your stupid co-workers don't.

All I can say is toughen up!!!!!!!

Work is work, ain't their to make friends.

In the past I have worked in an all male enviroment, and the amount of button pushing going on was unbelievable. If you showed a weak point or a sensitivity, buddy I can tell you one thing, with in one week either you would have gone stark raving crazy or gotten over it.

Now that being said, was it right, nope, no one should have to work under that type of pressure, but I did, I survived, I made a living for my family. I am still their, many others are now gone, who has the last laugh.

Today conditions are much much improved, however, I still never ever never ever talk about any personnal, family or home type business. Yes! The guys out their know that I raise chickens, and you can believe me that I have heard every "chicken chokin" joke known to man. Yes! They know I recently purchased a Kubota tractor, and I have heard all about how JD is better. Yes! I own a Dodge Hemi P/U truck, I get the Chevy dance every day. And on and on and on and on. If I say black is good, some one just for the sake of argument will say white is better, up-down, right-left, cold-hot, biggest-littlest, tallest-shortest, oldest-newest, it never ends.

It's called developing a thick skin. Who cares what the uneducated, uninformed portion of society judge to be right for me.

Get over it. Go back to work tomorrow. Make a living for your family. Deal with this fellow worker on a business level only. And to heck with the rest!

I don't even know what ballut is, I am assuming it is some sort of cruel duck type food that some deem a delicacy, doesn't matter if they are talking about sacrificing firstborn, leave it to them.
