Sad morning - Update on tippy chick

I had a previous post on our little silkie, Puff. She was tippy and would fall on her back and not be able to flip herself back over. I am soooo sorry to say that I found her this morning flipped over and drowned in her shallow little water dish. It was so sad I cried

. We only hatched out 5 little silkie chicks last week, so this was a very hard blow. And Puff was my 11 year old sister's chick.

Oh my, I'm so so sorry!!! It's so hard loosing a precious chickie. Hang in there, you'll do better in time.

It is a sad morning to wake up and find one of your babies gone. So sorry for your loss. Have a good cry, I did and it really helped!

Thank you for all the kind notes. It was REALLY sad. And even harder because we were working so hard to keep her alive and then to have her die drowning. I was the one who found her, I wish it had been my dad or someone not so closely connected
