Sad update.

I just found out tonight my loving dog Molly ripped three of my brahmas heads off. It’s really sad and it’s part of being a chicken owner to expect this. I’ve tried so hard to teach her they are nice but, dogs will do what dogs want to do. It’s a sad night and we are down to just a few more chickens and all the ducks survived. Another update. If your saw my other thread you would see my rooster Franklin. He was just starting to crow and was an accidental rooster but he would jump up on us and love us but sadly was the victim
Of the dog also. Thank you all for the support.

Bear hugs to you! I am so sorry about your sweet chickens! I have 2 bird dogs, ironically, and one happened to kill one of my young pullets that happened to get out of the run. It is so heartbreaking, but again, I couldn't punish Reagan (my dog). She was only doing what she was born to do.... One of the very reasons why I cannot free range. My sweet sweet dogs were born to be bird predators!
