Saddle feathers on Roos??????

At what age do saddle feathers begin to appear on
Roos????

I started to notice saddle feathers hanging down on my Dominique cockerels at 14 weeks.

What kind are they?

I noticed saddle feathers on my OEG by the time they were 8 wks old and they started crowing at 9 wks. My NN started showing them at 14 wks and he was already crowing.

I have some that hatched on June 3rd that have been "trying" to crow this week. Sound like a bullfrog

with a sore throat.

Saddle feathers are on mine pretty good at culling time which is around 4 months.

Well they are RIR's, and I ordered all hens, but one of them already has waddles the others are just beginning and his/her comb is large and starting to become red. Also much larger than the rest of them, I think saddle feathers are starting to appear. They are about 8 weeks old...I wish I could find my cable that hooks my camera to the computer so I could upload a photo......I put it somewhere I just don't exactly know where....LOL
