Saddle use and wearing schedule question

Hi! The one on our hen really seems to be working. After about 2 weeks she has some pretty nice pin feathers coming in and it doesn't seem to bother her at all. I do take it off in the rain so she isn't wearing a soaked apron. Anybody else do this or do you just leave it on? Thanks!

OK, I had ordered the small from MPC. Their 'ad' says, if unsure order down. That is the wrong approach! I ordered and received the perfect fit, a large, from Hen Saver. My Pet Chicken will take back; whew...Anyway, good question about the rain. I had my girls out today and wondered what to do. If it gets too wet, I will take it off. Also, I drew predator eyes on them! Hope that deters hawks!
