saddles at night??

I have put saddles on my chickens but I got to wondering do you leave them on there all the time, even at night, or do you take them off and put them back on? Also, when I put them on they ran around like the devil was chasing them

and I know they would do that but sometimes they saddle flips up. When they stop running around will the saddle quit doing that?

I leave them on for weeks at a time. I just make sure to dust them under there with DE since they can't dustbathe as well. Those saddles do flip up alot. I try to make mine with heavy material like faux leather, which helps alot.

I leave mine on for months one of my girls has had hers on for a year cause her feathers never did grow back for the rooster loving her to much.
