Is it safe to let the chickens eat the shells from hard boiled eggs that we have colored with the normal egg coloring kits in markets? I figure we are going to have lots of them very soon LOL TY for any in put :)

What about the hard boiled egg its self? Ours will be in and out of the fridge over a course of 10 days or so. Tomorrow they will be on display all day! The kids did a good job!

Anyway, I dont want the family to eat them, good for the chickens?

Because colored easter eggs often get eaten by humans, the dyes are safe, non-toxic. So I would assume that chickens could eat them as well. Let us know if your hens start laying colored eggs.
