Please do, because I'm not sure how safe large amounts of fenbendazole are in an anemic bird, and the amount I referenced is the max dose. Just tell your vet the paste is 187.5 mg/ml and the weight of the bird, and they should be able to come up with a safe dose.

:thumbsup and can you let us know what the vet says?

Telephoned the vet,my vet was not on today so spoke to another vet.You are correct with your dosage Casportpony. But the vet I spoke to unfortunately had very poor English I don't think she was understanding me as she said it is such a very small amount to mix in water it proberly will not do any good. I tried to explain to her I would be giving it to her in a syringe but she just didn't understand. She advised me to get a wormer all ready mixed in her feed and this is all you give her while worming her.But I think I will give her the paste through syringe as she will allow me to do this and I do not need to worry about over dosing her as we know 0.4ml given each day for five days is the correct dosage. For in the future I am going to try and source Safe Guard Aqua, but so far I have been unable to find here in uk.Once again thank you for the information.

Panacur of Safguard for the water is *very* expensive here in the states... I think it's something like $300 US per quart. Google "AquaSol".

In the UK you can get flubenvet (flubendazole), that gets mixed in the feed. You can also get a 10% "fenbendazole" liquid for horses, but it's not water soluble.

Another option, if you can get it shipped to the UK "Wormout Gel". It is water soluble, but not cheap. Dose is 47 ml per gallon for two days.
