safe or not

Can anyone tell me if this is safe if me chicken ingest it? I read that it is okay for them to have diatomaceous earth but I have never seen it given from a bag.

I am not sure of diatomaceous earth, but diatomaceous earth are the shells of a form of algae so my guess is that it is safe.

I have seen chickens eat ground up/broken glass with no ill effects.

The insect killer is not safe!!!

Okay, I did not buy it. What I was looking for was the diatomaceous earth only in a round container. I will probably have to get it online.
