Is this duck egg safe to eat? Both pictures are of the same egg. It was laid 4/3 and today is 4/7. Only 4 days old. Also was laid in their coop and collected the morning it was laid.

From my research, could be just blood spot? I read they can be darker but most of the pictures I saw looked more red.

Please let me know your thoughts!

I was really hoping so because I was going with my gut feeling that it was fine and I ate it anyway 🤣
That's fine.

My dad likes to waste eggs if there's a blood spot, or meat spot in the eggs.

We honestly have so many I could have afforded to toss it out and made another but we are selling them now and I’m a strong believer in you have to want your own product. If someone sends a picture of that and I tell them it’s fine to eat, I wouldn’t feel comfortable saying that when I myself throw them away
