Yesterday morning I found two round worms on the dropping boards. So I knew I had to worm again. I wormed early spring with Wazine and now it is hotter it seems I have to worm again.
So after reading and reading and reading, I purchased Safeguard goat wormer at Tractor Supply. Here is the Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Durvet-Safeguard-Goat-Dewormer-125ml/dp/B000HHLVB8

I gave all 22 chickesn .5 ml by syringe, but this morning I did not find worms. I found that odd. I did find tape worm shavings similar to this image: https://homefarmer.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/431332_534451319913210_1598108975_n-300x225.jpg

What I'm unsure of is if I have to treat the chickens for 5 days straight or do I wait and reworm in 10 days? Also I find it odd I found no other worms when they were in the droppings the morning before.

I believe you retreat in 10 days. I don't think it is necessary to find expelled worms after worming. You may or may not see them. I really can't ever remember seeing a bunch of expelled worms after worming. I think the only time I did see some was when I used garlic for a few days on the hens. But then I learned its not good to give too much garlic to chickens.

Thanks. I just was unsure as I didn't see any worms, yet I did before worming them. That confuses me, I will repeat in 10 days.

I know this is an old thread, but .5 ml per chicken is only appropriate if they're roughly about 2lb. the 10%suspension dose for chickens is 50mg/kg of weight. So for a 4lb bird, the dose is .9ml every day for 5 days. If you use safeguard again, it might come in handy.
