Salad dressing

Couldn't find this but I'm wondering if I can give my chickens lettuce that has various types of salad dressing on it. Should I wash it off? Thanks

Probably won't hurt them, but be cautious of too much sugar, salt or onion in the dressing. You might get some off-flavor eggs. If it were me, I'd rinse most of it off.

I’d probably wash it off. I’d be more worried the chickens wouldn’t like it compared to anything else. You should be cautious about the amount of sugar, salt, and acid in the dressing though since those may cause them harm.

Interesting question that never occurred to me because we never pre-dress our salads. But I have given them tired coleslaw.

Limiting the quanity of the fatty dressing would be the thing.

My sister's family likes to make fancy salad with fancy dressing. I may not even use it tho. Too hard to wash the oil off.
