Sally's GF3 thread

I am officially relieved of pie making duty. Hubby has made the nicest looking lemon-lime meringue pie ever to come out of our oven. He also likes pie crust, so he made the crust. (I always bought it.) I have never made a decent pie crust, gave up, and now I can't eat them anyway.
:bow
I think I might still have it in me to pumpkin un-pie someday. :thumbsup

I do need a new snow shovel. I wore out the ones we had. Maybe I will get two, one for fluffy snow and one for ☃️ snow.
I ended up with a "snow pusher." It is awesome! Way better than a shovel as long one has a paved driveway, which we do now after years of not having one. And as long as the banks aren't too high. The pusher will throw the snow up about 8" inches easily and 18" without lifting the blade if dh is doing it and gets a good run at it.

I think I'll still get a snow shovel, though. It was the original plan. There is less need for it than I thought there would be but still enough reason to get it to justify the cost and the space in the garage. Or not. Dh thinks the square nosed garden shovel to move the snow banks back worked well enough. We will try it through a few more big storms before deciding.

I will coat both shovels with paraffin so the snow slides off better, though.

🤦‍♀️ I just recently threw out a couple of boxes of paraffin blocks because they'd been on the shelf for about 30 years. I figured if I hadn't found a use for them by now, I didn't need them. We may have brought them with us when we moved here, 31+ years ago.
