Well bought two pullets from chickens for BYs. No doubt both are pullets. With that said one has a black beard and much darker salmon color overall. The other pullet is normally colored.

What is odd, is this pullet has many rooster behaviors ...but no crow. 3 months old. Corrals other pullets takes the lead at all times. Stands tall lots of chest bumping, even the comb is dark red.

Since they are a new breed for me. Interested if any others have such pullets act such ways.

She's just an assertive pullet, which is a little unusual for a Faverolles. Most are excessively docile. As for the black ticking in her beard, I have seen much, much worse from hatcheries.

Love it! I have a Barred Rock who I thought was a cockerel because she is so assertive (not aggressive, mind you). She is def top hen - so much so that she is our only hen who won't submit to our rooster. He is afraid of her. She's awesome! Keeps the peace.

And I love your bearded lady!

Well looks like my bearded lady is now losing her beard at 23 weeks old.
