Hi! Wondering if those that understand genetics better than me would be able to tell me if the above cross would hatch a wild type colored chick, or if it could possibly be yellow like all my other SF? I have a SS hen that I love, and wouldn't mind mixing her with our rooster, but don't want to accidently mix up chicks. I don't have space or desire for a separate pen, this is just for my own fun. I've read the mottling gene is recessive, but would love to hear (and see) any first hand accounts from anyone that's done this mix. Thanks!

The mix at least the female chicks hatch yellow with a very light chipmunk stripe.
They mature into a pattern not too different than a faverolles female.
They're smooth legged, with muffs and a beard.
I'll try to get a good photo for you, ok?:)
