I just hatched 2 perfect, darling Salmon Favorelle Chicks. Can you sex them at all by coloring or any other distinguishing marks?

I don't think so...the wing feather test is about the only way I would know to even try to get an idea.

You can but you have to wait until they start to feather out a little. Look at feathersite and under faverolles. There are pics at the bottom of the page that show the difference in them. The girls will have a mottle brown looking color and the boys will have a darker black looking color on the wings. Hope that helps.

Congrats. I love my faverolles.

Congrats! I have some Salmon Faverolle eggs in the incubator with a little less than two weeks to go. I can't wait, they seem like such an awesome breed. Now where are the pics of your little cuties?!
