Salmon Favorelle Cockarel

I have a 6 week old salmon favorelle cockarel that only has feathers on it's chest, wings and legs. Still has fuzz all over his backside. All the other chicks, younger than him including his sister that has moved to another home have all feathered out.. Whats up?

He was also the chick that I was worried about when I first got him he slept all the time and was really weak I had to hand feed him until he started getting stronger.

Any insights anyone?? Thanks bunches !

Mine was the same way. Smaller then the girls (except not weak - ate on his own) and feathered much later then they did.

Maybe it's something particular to that breed

Sounds like it.. I hope he catches up, I have two Roos I think and he's the one that I want to keep. His beard is starting to grow in and it's so darn cute! He'll be a looker for sure with all the hens following him!
